Since 1966, Embark Supported Employment has grown alongside our community adapting, evolving, and strengthening our commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities through meaningful work and inclusive opportunities.
2026
A Legacy of Support
In 2026 Embark will be celebrating 60 years of serving and supporting our participants in the Superior Community. Throughout the year we will be highlighting our amazing community partners that allow us to do the work we do, the partnerships in our community that help our participants reach their goals of learning and growth. We will be recommitting to our mission of a community that embraces those with disabilities to be as independent as possible. Watch for events and celebrations in the months to come.

2020
A Time of Transformation
In 2020, Embark navigated unprecedented change and emerged stronger. Under the leadership of Executive Director Ashby Rawstern, we adapted during the pandemic, welcomed a new administrative and management team, and restructured our services to better support participants.
We discontinued the 14c commensurate wage program and introduced Community Prevocational Programming, offering participants hands-on exposure to a variety of businesses and career paths. Through new partnerships, enhanced services, and a renewed focus on quality support, we evolved while staying true to our core values, mission, and commitment to the individuals we serve.
